Provincial governors ordered to facilitate well-wishes for Their Majesties the King and Queen

BANGKOK, 13 October 2016 (NNT) – The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior has ordered the governors of the all the nation’s provinces to facilitate citizens bidding well-wishes to His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen.

Permanent Secretary of Interior Krisada Boonrach has remarked that as many Thais outside of the capital may be unable to travel to Bangkok to sign their well wishes for His Majesty the King at either the Grand Palace or Siriraj Hospital, he has ordered provincial governors across the country to set up images of Their Majesties the King and Queen and well-wishing books for citizens to sign.

The ministry has also begun coordinating with religious leaders to hold appropriate activities in honor of His Majesty.

Meanwhile, Commander of the Royal Thai Army Gen Chalermchai Sitthisat, as secretary to the National Council for Peace and Order, has made known officials have been dispatched to deal with social media users spreading unwarranted rumors and that all military units in the nation have been instructed to hold events honoring Their Majesties on the second Monday of each month.
