Another victim of Pattaya Soi 6 'security' thugs
Pound for pound they are better fighters than us. National sport is Muay Thai. It sounds like you are intimidated by them. Have you been watching the news about the rioters back home this week? Not much one on one going on. A lot of brick throwing. -

JK Rowling Supports Legal Fight Against Workplace Gender Police
Still no mention of what she did though. I can't even work out what a 'gender-critical' offense could be. -

Former Adviser Blames Conservative Governments for Rising Far-Right Violence in the UK
You say spot on , but it's far from clear what Dame Sara Khan has in mind. She blames recent governments for ignoring warnings and promoting civil strife through a culture war agenda (latter part is highly dubious). Surely, even accepting her premise, it's a bit like blaming an inattentive physician for a patient's cancer. The physician can certainly be faulted but the cancer acted independently.Wouldn't be worth spending a bit more thought why UK's very serious social problems arose in the first place. -

Question on new visas and tax avoidance.
As you've had a non-imm O for 15 years I think you already know the answer to your question, however: If you are only staying 179 days per calender year do two 60 day visa exempt entries + two 30 day extensions to give 180 days. That'll cost you 3800 baht for two extensions + 3000-4000 baht for one border run (or more to fly out). Advantage is totally flexible to travel when you want The big advantage of keeping your non-imm O is that you can do the 180 days in one go. This also means you don't need the multi re-entry permit as a single re-entry will do (so total cost 1900 + 1000 baht per year). Only downsides are you have to leave 800k/400k baht in Thai bank and you must be in Thaiand in the month your 12 month extension is due. You'll also need to do one 90 day report which you say is a big deal, however is nothing compared to the one border run you need on visa exempt option above. -

Kamala Harris Poised to Succeed Where Hilary Clinton Failed?
He was so successful, he got fired by the American people. I'm not wild about Harris but she's mentally stable which can't be said of Trump. She'll have a Republican Senate, at the least, so she won't be able to do much, at least for the first two years. -

Why is Thailand not full of so called Asylum Seekers?
Some reasons I can think of: 1. Thai is a difficult language to learn. Whereas many asylum seekers speak some English. 2. The UK's generous health and Social security system. When you are used to a mud hut without running water, <deleted>ting in a hole in the ground, and likely having to work in the fields for long hours for a pittance, being told you are given a free house, free healthcare, free money and clothes for your children, and many of your compatriots are already there to help you, these are big incentives. I know this isn't the case for all asylum seekers, but it is for many Imagine the phone call back home: I have been given a house for free. It has electricity, hot and cold running water, all paid for. They give me free money every week. I don't even have to work. The doctor, medicine and school are all free. You need to get here as fast as you can. What puzzles me is why large numbers pass through the rest of Europe and risk their lives crossing the Channel. What is wrong with France for example? I even thought of retiring there myself. In he end I suppose its not much different to us all living here in another country. Although most of us pay our own way
