More than one way. For download I use "Ummy Video Downloader". There are tons of youtube downloaders but this is the best I have seen so far. For zooming/cropping: there seem to be specialized tools (search for "video zoom crop"). I have use a video converter called "XMedia Recode". Very powerful and versatile. But be warned: not quite easy to use. I just found that it also can do the zoom/crop job (see attached screenshot, click on image to enlarge). English language is available.
