Weird request but I want to make my own ayran, its a turkish salty yogurt drink - I love it, probably sounds gross but I'm craving bad.

The ingredients are pretty much Yogurt, Salt and Water - but the yogurt has to be kinda sour. Can anyone recommend anything in thai supermarkets? I tried Yolinda which is fine but its not sour enough for my liking

Thanks heaps

Make your own yoghurt.  It's easy enough.  No special equipment required.  And you can then let it ferment for as long as you like to make it sour as you want.

Took your advice and read some other threads about yogurt making. I filled a milk bottle that was 3/4 full with yolinda and left it in a warm dark corner under some towels. I'll see how it turns out tomorrow

I read you need to heat the milk first to make it thicker. but I'm not after a thick yogurt so I just skipped that step
