Borzandy
Pedestrian in Thailand is someone who doesn't have a car, so he doesn't have to be in the street.

Gimino
It would not have mattered. Here, she was not safe even in a pedestrian crossing. Ignorant motorists/motorcyclists abound and crossing the street on foot is a life-threatening challenge at the best of times.

Why did the chicken cross the road? Here crossing the road is like a game of chicken. I like how they emphasized that the car plates were red. Raises the question if the person was a new driver and took his/her driving exam did the cutout of a human being pop up like at the shooting range and you had to identify it as a friend or foe. Elementary dear Watson.

There's literally no way to get hit by a car in the street if you have the ability to wash your own backside after pooping. As if someone is trying to hit you or drive through where you want to cross, you wait until its clear. Cars don't fall from the sky on a straight road. johng
It only takes a momentary lapse in concentration on motorist or pedestrians part for bad things to happen.
Felt 35
Well here were many merciful comments ...... why not blame the pedestrian for it could impossible be the fault to the driver because everyone driving a vehicle here has the greatest traffic training and is the most cautious people behind a steering wheel in the world and the average of around 40 killed daily in traffic here is also likely because of pedestrians
balo
I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often'. RIP.

The Thais ignore xxx crossing marks, red lights on straight aways, etc. And most don't carry any insurance that is worth anything, even if it is against the law. Any claims happen outside of court typically, with some cash payout, or nothing happens if the driver is connected.
The man from udon
I really do think that up here in issan some drivers do not know what green and red lights are for.when it rains they all speed up,when there's lightening they turn out their lights so they don't get struck by lightening.i kid you not.when the powers down and no traffic lights working and it raining at night you are safer in a field battle at the somme or mosul. There was an update and from cctv it looks like as if the woman was trying to get killed. There's just no way to get it while crossing a street without asking for it
