Poor Theresa.

Being embarrassed by her own team twice in 1 week.

Maybe the EU should give the UK government a year or so to have brexit negociations amongst themselves?

And after that, Theresa could call fresh elections to strengthen her position in her negotiations with the EU? Eeeuuuhhh wait, maybe not such a good idea....

I agree that Verhofstadt is a loonie.

But what do you call someone who does not honour his commitments and puts a dagger in the back of his PM? A Shakespeare character?

The round one "commitments" are provisional on the satisfactory outcome of round two. May has said that too. No Shakespeare there.

Integrity and credibility should be the watchwords; we used to be renowned for them ?

I agree. We have obviously been affected by the influence of the EU. It must stop, in order for traditional British values to be restored!

Great riposte hippy.

Pleasure, as ever, to speak to my friend @guyverhofstadt - we both agreed on the importance of the Joint Report. Let's work together to get it converted into legal text as soon as possible. 1/2

And more words.
Again spoken with a forked tongue.

To be perfectly clear:  (source = Guardian)

The Irish deputy prime minister, Simon Coveney, highlighted a line in the agreement that said commitments relating to Ireland would be “upheld in all circumstances, irrespective of the nature of any future agreement between the EU and UK”.

Words too. Different words.

I believe it is against forum rules (and against common decency) to call somebody a bastard, even if it is misspelled.

Or is it just a lack of balls to write bxstered when you mean bastard?

Get a grip on yourself!

Who would of thought....

Sorry you would have to be subscribed to read the story.  The gist of the story is instead of thousands upon thousands leaving the city to go to places like Paris; Dublin or Frankfurt..the reality is...it's hundreds.....

If you take the trouble to read back through the thread you will see numerous newspaper articles that have been posted on this subject, the minimum estimate from the City alone is 7,500 and that's fast approaching a confirmed level, the upper limit is far far higher.

But you were singing your praises of the FT's crystal ball-gazing capabilities a day-or-two ago.....

The magic description is Perfidious Albion. But in this case David Davis the hopeless member of Theresa May's government, appears to want to snatch defeat from success.

Here's a link to the story that works:

http://www.cetusnews.com/business/Brexit-relocations-by-City-banks-set-to-fall-short-of-fears.r1QgynN0bf.html

If you read all the way to the end you'll see that what the banks are talking about is phase 1 of the move.
