Sanam Luang now packed with hundreds of thousands of mourners coming with one heart for the beloved Great King

Sanam Luang, the huge open field in front of the Grand Palace where all Thais from across the country are heading to, is slowly narrowed down with the influx of human wave coming with one same heart to sing the Royal Anthem together to pay tribute to their late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at 1.00 pm.

The open field is capable of holding 100,000 persons.

But by noon today the large open field has no space left for late comers as mourners have occupied the place since late last night.

More and more people are on their ways to Sanam Luang with all roads in the vicinities fully occupied.

All trains and buses coming from upcountry today were packed with mourners in black clothes.

The government has arranged shuttle buses at several locations in Bangkok outskirts and at Bangkok Railway Station to take all of them into Sanam Luang to join in the historic singing for the late King.

According to government spokesman and acting director-general of the Public Relations Department, Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd, the mass singing of the Royal Anthem will be broadcast live on NBT Channel.
