BANGKOK, 22 October 2016 (NNT) – The Ministry of Interior has ordered provincial governors, district chiefs, village headsmen and local administrators to arrange plans for the people traveling to Bangkok to pay homage to the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Interior Ministry Permanent Secretary Grisda Boonrach said an overwhelming number of people were expected to travel to the Grand Palace to pay homage before the royal urn from 28 October.

He said travel arrangements are required to ensure conveniences for the travelers and instructed the provincial and local authorities to make travel arrangements and provide conveniences to the mourners.

The Ministry of Interior called on the general public to wait for announcements on travel plans from district offices, provincial halls and other channels.
