Thailand Post: King Rama IX memorial postcard and stamp almost ready

BANGKOK, 25 October 2016 (NNT) – Postcards and stamps designed in memory of the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej are now 90 percent completed, while registration to receive the free stamps will commence shortly, according to the Thailand Post.

Thailand Post President Smorn Terdthumpiboon has revealed the production progress of memorial postcard and stamp sets, featuring the image of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, are 90 percent complete.

The memorial stamps will be printed with the image of the late monarch wearing an air force uniform. The 1-baht stamp will come with a special memorial date seal of 13 October 2016, which was the day of the late King’s passing.

The general public will be able to register themselves to receive stamp sets free of charge. Registration can be made online or at any Thailand Post offices nationwide.

The delivery of the stamps will be carried out at random to ensure an even distribution to Bangkok and at other provinces.

Interested individuals and stamp collectors can purchase such stamps at the various Thailand Post offices throughout the Kingdom.
