Does anyone know the approximate cost for a taxi from lat krabang to banpong, ratchaburi? I can use a private taxi that I know for 1800 baht. I would guess that the cost would be a round trip.

• There are NO set fees or whatever for trips like this.
• As a rough rule of thumb-so you never have to ask again, is double the average taximeter rate per km=2x5 (or 5,25, or 5,5 bt), rounded, as all Thai do, to a conveneint 100 multiple. IF you have some bisnis to do and want that taxi to wait, then add about 40/.50 bt /hr for waiting and expect this amount to be for both ways.
• .or use some mind boggling daft simple calculation: taxi hire for 12 hrs is about 6/700, add normal drivers wage (more as 300) + gas + some extra and thats what the average cabbie can expect to receive in 1 shift.
•  However, most expattees, always fearing the very worst and every possible mishap, will advice you to hire via a friend a trusted/well proven driver, these will ask for more, but most not that much more.
