UN to hold special assembly in honor of HM the late King

  

NEW YORK, 27 October 2016 (NNT) – A meeting of the United Nations (UN) has resolved to hold a special conference in honor of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 28. 

Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Nations Virachai Plasai has relayed that a special assembly will be held at the UN headquarters in New York at 10AM local time on October 28 in devotion to His Majesty the late King with national representatives to speak on His Majesty’s life and works. He noted such an event is a rare occurrence. 

The assembly is to take a total 15 minutes with the chairman of the UN council to speak first followed by 5 regional chairpersons and Virachai himself. The event is to be webcast to all UN member countries.
