PM insists he has no grudges against any particular reporters

 

 

BANGKOK: -- Defending the new regulation to be imposed on reporters at the Government House, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said on Tuesday that he had no personal grudges against any reporter in particular.

 

Reporters, however, suspected that the new rule was intended to bar veteran reporter and former staffer of the Bangkok Post Mrs Yuwadee Tunyasiri from entering the Government House because of her criticism of the prime minister.

 

The prime minister said that the new rule for reporters was proposed by security officials because the Government House is regarded as state property.

 

The new rule requires all reporters working at the Government House to produce to authorities concerned a letter of certification from their offices to prove that they are reporters of their offices.

True, he despises ALL of them with equal fervour !!!

 

And, whilst the reporters may be right in suspecting the new rule was intended to bar anyone critical of the junta and its cronies, one can't help thinking it's probably a far safer outcome (for the reporters) that what Prayut would really like to do to them.

 

The way control is being applied it may come to the situation that reporters aren't actually needed as the junta can draw up what's to be reported and send it out to the media to reproduce.

He just hates transparency and freedom of speech in general.   He wants to know that none of reporters are foreign or highly mobile so he can maintain control over them.  Words are the little general's greatest fear.   

Attitude adjustment has worked now everyone are good friends.

And yes, Prajut hate nothing more then ivestigation journalism. Any governemtn not accepting journalists asking questions and getting proper answers and can investigate is a government that has to hide something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this happens in nearly everything there in Thailand!

So there must be something wrong in the country!!!!!!!!!

 

And yes its a lovely country without the government they not deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There must be incentives now for innovative thinking on plugging dikes with only 10 fingers.

Funny.

Prayut didn't mind it when Suthep and the PDRC illegally occupied the Government House in its efforts to overthorw PM Yingluck. I guess that just means that reporters are considered more dangerous to the State than insurgents.
