Dhara Posted November 4, 2016 Share Posted November 4, 2016 Hi, I came to thailand with my business visa in my old passport. i need to apply for a work permit. I have renewed my passport but the visa is on the old passport. Do i need to apply for a business visa in my new passport? Or can i submit both the passports to apply for a work permit ? ubonjoe Posted November 4, 2016 Share Posted November 4, 2016 A visa from an embassy or consulate cannot be transferred. You would use both passports to get your work permit. Immigration will only transfer an extension of stay issued by them and will do a stamp where info about the visa used for entry and the old passport will be entered.
