PM expresses alarm over flooding in Phetchaburi

PRIME Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha is concerned about the flooding in Phetchaburi province and has instructed officials to take care of people affected by the crisis, after the area was swamped by heavy discharge from dams.

The week that was in Thailand news: Are we miserable? – sorry, that’s a rhetorical question.

Was it just me or were there really such few laughs in the Thai news this week. Everywhere I seemed to look there just appeared to be more negativity and while several old cases promised a resolution of sorts it seemed painfully inadequate to give any cause for optimism.

The theme this month is things I missed about living in Bangkok. Pardon me if I keep making comparisons with Pattaya. It seems I didn’t really understand how sheltered a life I was living hidden away in the neon netherworld I called home for 7 years.

BANGKOK — As homeless people were being evicted from Sanam Luang, the center of mourning for the death of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, a veteran activist assisting homeless people urged the government and the general public to rethink, be more understanding and not exclude them from the area.

Metro Police add traffic police force assisting mourners traveling to palace
