Question about METV

Suppose i get my 6 month multiple entry tourist visa at around Dec 15th 2016 and I enter the country on Jan 10th 2017 the visa should be valid until May 15th 2017 right? If its that then can I stay until June 5th 2017 if I do a 2nd visit on 10th April?

That appears to be a good estimate of days you can stay in the country since 60 days is not always 2 months.

If you want to stay until June 5th you have a few of ways to do it.

  • If the visa is issued on Dec 15th it will be valid for unlimited entries until on or before the 'enter before' date of Jun 14th.
  • If you enter on Jan 10th you'll be given permission to stay until Mar 10th.
  • On, or just before, Mar 10th you can;

extend your stay by 30 days for 1,900 baht at a local immigration office giving permission to stay until Apr 9th. If you then exit/re-enter on Apr 9th you'll be given permission to stay (60 days) until Jun 7th.

or

exit and immediately re-enter the country for another 60 days giving permission to stay until May 8th. Then, on or before May 8th, you could extend your stay by 30 days giving permission to stay until Jun 7th.

or

exit and immediately re-enter the country for another 60 days giving permission to stay until May 8th. If you then exit/re-enter on May 8th you'll be given permission to stay (60 days) until Jul 6th.

If you want the maximum possible stay from a first entry on Jan 10th you could make a final exit/re-entry on Jun 7th that would give you 60 days until Aug 5th, which could be extended by 30 days until Sep 4th.

I know it is a little out of topic but I would like to know the way to communicate with any office if I get any phone number.

Thank you for your response.
