Drug hoodlum "Benz Laksi" arrested in northern Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- Police have announced the arrest of an alleged drug hoodlum wanted for the attempted murder of a man in a Bang Khen restaurant last year.

 

Naren Baitoey, or Benz, 20, was caught hiding out at an apartment in the Soi Pracha Uthit 8 area of Don Meuang yesterday, reports Daily News.

 

He was wanted on an attempted murder warrant and weapons charges issued in Bangkok in June last year.

 

He admitted that he was the man named in the warrants. There was nothing illegal found in his room.

 

Police said that Naren is a drug dealer who had the nickname "Benz Laksi" and is responsible for seriously wounding a man last year.

 

He was detained.
