A 47-year-old-woman has been charged with trafficking 22 Cambodians, some underage, to Malaysia where they were forced to do unpaid hard factory work in appalling conditions. Sam Sin, 47, was charged by the Kratie provincial court prosecutor with two counts of involvement in trafficking.

The 22 included men and women. Three were underage boys and three were underage girls. Provincial Anti-Human Trafficking police said that after being sent to Malaysia, the victims were sold to work in factories.

They were forced to work hard in the worst working conditions. The factory did not pay them. “Because they did not get support for their hard work and living conditions in Malaysia, they fled from the factories,” a police source said.
