It was the people in the largest cities that voted for Hillary, well,  som nome nah!  Get over it..

I will visit Montana and other states that voted in Donald. The smaller towns and cities are more enjoyable

to visit anyway.  Wait a few months to see how him and the Republicans do.  I guess  some of the  big  city

folk think that they are special and are mad that the small town and country people brought the

Republicans back into power.

Geezer

Sounds like Thailands democrats party. What Bangkok wants gets or else. Must be part of being a Democrat the world over.

I think what the democrats on the street are angry at was that all they could muster to challenge Trump was some one no one wanted.Angry that is the best they could do.They are angry the have no one in their party the country would want for president.

Right. Finally we're on the same page about something. Of course it won't be very effective. It will be painful and slow and crumbs at best to win for years. That's why I compare it to the ACT UP movement in the Reagan era.

So hopefully your bags are packed and tickets booked to get you BACK to the USA ASAP

I mean none are more vocal than you on how terrible the citizens choice is right?

So can we assume your more than lip service to your New *resistance*?

Our future leaders. These are adult students?????

Administrators at the University of Pennsylvania reportedly provided students upset over the results of Tuesday’s presidential election with emotional support puppies, coloring books, and chocolate.

“There were actual cats and a puppy there,” Tancredi told The College Fix. “There were sheets of paper available with black and white printed designs on them for students to color in. Essentially they looked like pages from a coloring book that were printed from a computer. They all had positive feel-good messages on them. Students colored them in with colored pencils.”

If they had run someone moderate like Jim Webb, I might have voted for him. However, no way I am going to vote in some left-wing nut.

This is going to be an entire generation on emotional disability payments.

I'm seeing a lot of morons talking about Trump backpedaling. Anyone with just a bit of intelligence knows that Trump is never going to get everything he wants. This is why he will be a great president. He is willing and expecting to compromise. This is exactly why Obama couldn't get any cooperation. He believed that he was smarter than everyone else. His cabinet was filled with only YES SIR flunkies. He felt threatened by anyone who could possibly be smarter than his was.

Good point. I am perfectly happy to have him do some horse trading to get bipartisan cooperation.

I am just waiting to see all these actors move to Canada. Hopefully sooner than later !

They won't be. It takes 2 years+ to process an application once in Canada  and during that time no access to benefits or medicare is granted. It requires money and a required jobskill to gain entry into Canada now.  The country changed a while ago.

The last time the Dems  were this worked up rioting and emotionally out of control and violent was when they were boycotting the war in Vietnam and spitting on returning soldiers.

Many Americans were dismayed by the criminal acts and the lack of discipline showed by  US personnel in Vietnam. Do you really wish to rehash all the evil that was done in that war? It was a bad, bad mistake. The sad part of the war is that the US OSI had taken the position that the "Communists" were more aligned with US sentiments than the corrupt Vietnamese government. Actual experience of  people on the ground, veterans of WWII who knew the culture, gave the right advice. It was desk jockeys  who didn't listen. The same idiots who gave  us the Bay of Pigs fiasco, and the support of various corrupt  right wing dictatorships in  Latin America,  screwed up in Vietnam. I'll make it very simple for you: Every time the USA strays from its core values of respect for human rights, decency and compassion it screws up.

Correct. The liberal agenda has-been set back for decades and no one

will ever believe their propoganda again. Bill Marr admits the left lied about Romney and McCain. That is not the extend of it. They lie about pretty much everything when it comes to politics.

The liberal agenda you speak of is the application of the law, of fairplay. The USA is heading to  a large clash between the haves and the have nots. Bill Maher doesn't speak for the people who work at food banks, or the Salvation Army shelters. You see negativity in the protests. i see hope. I was in the USA  after the election and I was impressed by how the people cared. I did not see violence, but I saw people speaking up and police protecting their rigth to do so. I was near one of the Trump buildings which was the site of the protests. I walked freely through the protests and felt no threat. The protestors were nice to us as were the police. I was very impressed by the civility of everyone even if they were loud and emotional. You may see this as a bad thing, but I see it that democracy is alive and well in the USA and that people care. Americans need to be poked and shoved and cajoled, but they eventually do  the right thing. I have faith in the USA and its people. They will keep Trump in check.

Protests & riots sponsored & incited by.......

A shadow non profit org for peace.....Probably George S. again...

Alt right conspiracy theory crapola. They especially love to demonize Soros as an evil globalist Jew.

The reality is that the horror about the trump government takeover of both the r party and now everything is totally organic and totally justified. This resistance movement needs no artificial stimulus. It's for real. Not saying it will help or that the current tactics are the best. Those are different questions.

More about the RESISTANCE that is growing.

Early days now.
Lots of people have lots of ideas.

Not sure how it's going to shake out.

Personally, I think we need one or two charismatic and young NEW leaders to make this really spark.

Still kind of amazed that the word RESISTANCE seems to be really happening.

When I first used that word myself (before seeing it in media) I even thought well, that's kind of BOLD, perhaps too over the top. Normally you would just use words like protest, dissent, opposition.

RESISTANCE implies something much more serious, like the French resistance in Nazi Germany.

Make my words here, this is happening ... RESISTANCE.

Pathetic, really. You were all for Democracy, right up until the moment you lost!!!!!!

What I really want to know is when all the hot shot celebrities are going to leave the country. I'd guess that they lie like their beloved leader and won't do us a favor by leaving.

Your young new leaders have no idea what they are even protesting about. They only know what their far left tenured socialist teachers told them.

Bull. I have not once questioned the legality of the results. But now that our entire government is under control of dark regressive right wing forces including a strong man demagogue leader that has openly threatened the free press in a Putin like manner normal politics won't be enough to fight this evil. A resistance movement is needed. It's already started. I am not advocating or condoning violence on either side.

Also I think the part of the new resistance that doesn't accept the legality of the results is wrong. That part will pass soon enough as it's both wrong and impossible to change legal results. Accept the results and resist based on issues.

Yea, these are the kiddies that the revolutionaries are counting on to man their barricades and go to war for them.  They'll shut down and cry for mommy as soon as they can't find a Starbucks.

Good post.  You just can't make stuff like this up.  :-)

Young Americans like young UK people post Brexit are the people that will lose the most from the trump election catastrophe. The supreme court is now going to the bad old days and those kids will be stuck with that for 50 years. I think many of them probably felt the need for something much stronger than coloring books and puppies.

And anybody that believes anything that comes out of bratbart is somebody to listen to? That lying dirt bag right wingnut rag has never told the truth, never will. Continue and increase the civil disobedience, shut down the country until the fascist orange monster and his VP are forced out of office. Yes riots, the police (can you say COINTELPRO) start them just like they did back in the Nixon regime. Legitimate election, not really even the Republicans were bragging about how their voter suppression techniques worked to stop Black voters. And no, I despise the Clintons.
