More activities implemented to help cash-strapped rice farmers

BANGKOK, 15 November 2016 (NNT) – More activities continue to be implemented across the country to help cash-strapped rice farmers.

At the Lifestyle and Spirit of Thai Farmers Learning Center in Suphan Buri province, a special project “We Love Our King” was organized as a tribute to HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The event was also intended to offer moral support for farmers and those involved in the rice industry.

In northern Phrae, Governor Wattana Puttichart has led a team of officers to inspect two major rice mills in the province, where farmers have been coming to sell their harvested rice.

According to Mr. Wattana, between 200 and 300 tons of rice are sold to both mills each day. The inspections have found nothing out of the ordinary.

At the Loei cooperative office, a project to help rice farmers was held to allow consumers to buy rice directly from growers at reasonable prices for both sides.

And, in Buriram province, the Buriram Arthorn pawn shop has purchased around five tons of rice directly from local farmers at between 20 and 25 baht a kilo before the rice was re-packed into one-kilo bags and given to customers as a gift.

I wonder where Thai pawnshops sell their products. They don't have a showroom.

I also liked this pawnstars show, better than the one from Detroit with that bitchy owners' daughter.

moral support to help pay the bills. i wonder if any of these inspections every find anything. really what did they hope to find in this case?

Maybe prawnstars? Given the content of the story, I can see happy days clearly around the corner..... but on the plus side, at least didn't contain more bone headed mess with the market nonsense. I guess that is for higher ups to do.

The pawn shop showing a little love. How unique. The free gift should be a real incentive for clients to come in and do business well on the other hand they the clients are strapped for cash. Yes a little love would indeed go a long way.
