where I can find saffron in Pattaya ?

Featured Replies

Need it to make perfect a dish..

Quite expensive in Europe.

Have you already browsed the usual suspects?

TOPS at Central, Friendship, Foodland, Best?

Even MAKRO?

I must admit I never noticed having it seen.

One vague source in Thai language stating that there was Saffron at TOPS (Made in Spain, 2xx Baht).

Don't expect it to be cheap.

Friendship

anybody know how much is it?  1 gr?  thanks

I have seen at aroi ITaly on sukhumvit road. Please check at  038 423 055.

I have seen saffron at foodland long time ago, not sure that still have or not. At foodland, it was  at spicy shelf.

Makro have it too.

In Friendship it is in the lock up cabinets by the cigarettes.

Arab town but the issue is quality.

Try the Indian grocery shop by Wat Sikh.

And I suppose it is worth pointing out that the bags of "Saffron" you see at the markets, like the twice weekly Soi BuaKhao one (and all over ebay) is not Saffron but Safflower or Bastard Saffron. All the colour, none of the flavour.

we buy from an importer in Germany top quality Iranian saffron powder once a year. price varies between €UR 140-160 for 50 grams.
