Imports to Thailand

I was looking at an archived chat about Imports to Thailand. I saw many people wondering why transportation fees are included in the value of the product.

When I took a class in Import/export we were told all GATT countries include shipping in the value, as any good business will include it in the price of the product.

each country has it's own rates for other countries, Thailand charges the US a lot more than Australia or New Zealand. I remember buying a bottle of Paul Mitchel Shampoo & conditioner
