What government emergency are you talking bout?  I come from a very developed country mate, for new technology usage about the most developed as it can get. That's why i can't stand the Thai countrysidei guess.

Maybe Greece will be a developed country soon too?

When the banks and government control the money supply, so help us all !!!!

"Credit" cards are evil because they allow you to spend mney you have not yet earned and pay interest on money you have never earned and may never be able to earn.

There's a certain responsibility that comes with credit cards, i.e. self control.  Utilised correctly and sensibly they are extremely convenient and boost your credit rating.

Anyway, I've been using Apple Pay since launch day in the UK and it's light years ahead in security and convenience.  I believe spending limits at pay terminals will also be increased within the next year or two.  Can't wait.

If a cashless society ever comes about in Thailand, quite a few posters on here will be leaving a computerised trail to their favourite bar girl, which could lead to more divorces, or perhaps to a few more dead farangs, or maybe more eunuchs and well-fed ducks.

Spell checker is free I think sorry maybe you fat fingered that one. You cannot stand the Thai country side indeed. That's where the nice/rice/honest people hang out. The money grubbing elites swing in the big cities. Go the countryside meet the real people not the pirates of capitalism. They will financially slice and dice you before you can say 'Bob's your uncle"
