In the Rai!
Hi .Has anybody any idea where I could get Mutton or Lamb in Chiang rai. Have tried most of the usual places Big C , Makro,Northern Farm and the muslim restaurants but they dont have. I have bought lamb from Makro on a few occasions. Though it is expensive. Hi, Yes, Legs of lamb in Makro, very good but a bit expensive. I also think I've seen them in Northern Farm's freezer. There is a sheep farm about 4km east of teh Mae Korn jucntion on the right headed for Thoeng. Heven't tried it but it may be worth a shot. As for the Goat's meat in Makro also very good but beware, the forzen packs don't let you 'see' the bone content so don't be disappointed when after defrosting you have half bone and half meat that looks like one of the extras from the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Still great eating in a stew though. Happy munching AjarnP
