Best coconut-cream

Featured Replies

What is in your opinion the best tasting coconutcream?

My favorit is Chaokoh brand (Tesco/Foodland in the fridge), it's a thick cream and tastes well. Haven't tried the other brand (arroy) though.

It tastes much better than fresh cococream from the market out of that machine they use which amazes me.

Is there a better one than chaokoh? IF so where can i get that?

You are on the right one.

The addition of emulsifiers to canned coconut milk prevents the oil from separating in a curry, a critical step.

Instead, go to one of Thailand's many fresh markets for freshly shredded and squeezed coconut cream. Freezes well.

The cream i use is also fresh and works good in curry.  Add some spoons of massala herbpowder to it and some sugar/stockcube/chili and you have a great curry.

Don't know if anything is added to it but it tastes much better than the one from the market and is also cheaper.

I use the cartons, girlfriend advised me to use it on my bald patch. I'll let you know in a year if any improvement. :)
