More stimulus measures to be considered by Cabinet

BANGKOK, 6 December 2016 (NNT) - Permanent Secretary for Finance Somchai Sujjapongse has said that the ministry would submit more stimulus measures to the Cabinet for stimulation of the Thai economy this year and the next. The ministry expects that around one million people will be benefited from the measures.

The measures would likely result in a 3.4% economic growth in the last quarter and steer the economy more, said the permanent secretary. He added that many infrastructure investment projects by the government in 2017 would make next year’s growth rate increase from 3.4% to 4%.

Regarding the government’s financial assistance for low-income people, Mr. Somchai said money could not be transferred yet since a lot of people who had registered for the financial assistance did not meet the criteria. The ministry would recheck the name list of people eligible to the assistance and transfer money to them as soon as possible, he said.

It's getting a bit late to have much effect for this year, I would have thought?   Only 25 days to go and the new measures have not even been announced yet.  Perhaps the year could be expanded using Article 44?

Another stimulus vocabulary.  Can't this regime just stop talking crap. Tell the truth all your mechanisims attached to your stimulator are faulty. Stick to growing organic ass wipes.

One million out of a population of 70 million plus hmm good odds I guess. No mention of what level of society will benefit the most.

I thought they were trying to save up to buy some

Submarines, they will never get them if they keep

giving money away.

Economic stimulation = budget blowout. At some time it the future the borrowings needed to balance the books have to be repaid.

In the meantime the taxpayers have to fund the interest bill. Military have no compression of economics, or agriculture or just about anything else except saluting and handing out medals and on occasion beating the crap out of subordinates.
