ubonjoe
If you have a single entry tourist visa you can extend the 60 day entry from it for a 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht. You would just need your passport and copies of it to apply for it along with a completed TM7 application form. You could also apply for a single entry non-o visa based upon being a parent of a Thai that would allow a 90 day entry instead of a tourist visa. You would need their birth certificate and a copy of their house book registry. You can also apply for a 60 day extension at immigration to visit your child instead of the 30 day one.
