BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha might occasionally admit that he has tripped up in the past but yesterday it was proven at Government House.

The PM was taking part in a football game as part of his much publicized exercise "regime". But this time he came a cropper as he was fouled and ended up on the turf, reports Manager Online

Fortunately for the country, he wasn't seriously injured!

And he even managed a goal, much to the amusement and delight of reporters who recorded the occasion for posterity.

Today the PM will be back to work in earnest - he is going to Songkhla to look at the devastating flooding in the province and see what the government can do to help the suffering there.

Nope, that's not exactly correct, but I take your point

Ah but this one has an approval rating in the high 90%s hasn't he?

Actually gone a bit quiet on that front, time for another poll?

I think it was the weight of the burden of his anti-corruption fight.

Or the stress of Temple raids that don't happen? How would he have fared in Alamein?

Did the opposition move out of the way or conveniently fall over to allow him to score the goal?

OK, I am just being mean. :sorry:

Hallelujah give praise. And he scored a goal yet. The opposing side must have be doing the old Sodom and Gommorah trick.

That adorable little curmudgeon. Whether he's taking a spill on the turf, locking up dissidents, or isolating the country internationally while damaging the hopes and aspirations of an entire generation of his countrymen, you gotta love him...
