10 year visa

Featured Replies

Does anyone have info on when the new 10 year visa will start?

No new info yet. Just what was reported in news a few weeks ago.

Thai hot air,I would just forget about it.who would want one anyway.got to find 2,200,000 more to leave in the bank, get some medical insurance, report every 90 days and renew it in 5 years,so it ain't even a 10 year visa.think about it and you'll come to the same conclusion.

Below partial quote from above link will be interesting to see how they actually implement especially for expats covered under a medical plan like a home country govt plan, like Tricare for US retired military, which have no yearly minimum or maximum limits of coverage....have no policy sheet stating a minimum level of coverage per year because you are basically covered for an unlimited amount.

1.4 The applicant must submit their Medical Insurance with 1 year validity and covering the following amount; inpatient, minimum of 10,000 USD, outpatient minimum of 1,000 USD per year.

I see no source of what he wrote.

I shall wait until I see something official about it before commenting more.

His original blog (before being updated on 15th) stated he was personally provided with the updated information from the Ministry of Sports and Tourism. He does state the information could change.

I agree, until an official announcement with full details, everything else is speculation.
