์Non I Immigrant Visa vs Marriage Visa

Is there any real advantage to getting a proper marriage visa as opposed to getting a non-o ferang visa besides not having to do tri-monthly border runs?

I'm close to Cambodia and Laos anyway so it's not exactly any hassle either way.

A Multi Entry Non Imm O Visa gives you unlimited entries of up to 90 days each entry. Do a border run just before it expires and get another 90 days giving almost 15 months in total.

 

A 12 month extension of stay gives you 12 months. With this you report to Immigration every 90 days.

I think you mean a 1 year extension of stay issued by immigration opposed to a 1 year Multiple Entry Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa.

 

All the time the ME visa exists it is a good option for people that live close to a border, can't meet the financial requirements of an extension, or want to limit contact with immigration.
