HSBC Premier - wife/ son not covered. Insurance needed

Featured Replies

so i just found that the 31 days free insurance given to you with a HSBC premier acc has not covered my family.

they have been back in thailand for about 3 weeks now, i just rang hsbc to extend the insurance , but because they dont have a return ticket yet , they weren't covered for the last 3 weeks and i cannot extend the insurance .

i dont know what to do now , My wife is still a Thai resident ( not uk) and my son is a Uk resident ( 3 months old)

im looking for some insurance that will cover both of them for the next 3-4 months in Thailand, and me when i arrive next month. Im looking for insurance to cover accident and serious sicknesses (big hospital bills, not small doctor/ clinic bills).

my wife already has basic accident insurance , it cost about 4500b for a year

i know you can spend a little or alot when it come to insurance . its my son im worried about more than anything .

i dont know if i should be looking at separate polices , I can do my own when i travel, my wifes thai  so would get government treatment at worst .

anyone got much experience with this type of dilemma. thought id ask before i pick up the phone and start calling Thailand triple AAA

thanks
