bamboozled
Hi folks, the search function for me on Thaivisa no longer works...and is returning "no results" for a search on O-visa Savannakhet. If anyone could point me in the right direction (links?) I won't bother you all with repetitive inquiries. I've been once before, a year ago I suppose, but don't remember the route from CM to Laos. Or rather, which overnight bus I took from Bkk, which was quite fine I might add. Is an overnight stay in Laos now required? Which hotel to stay in, etc.... I know there is all this info on here...but I can't find it! Thanks all....

bamboozled
Can anyone shoot me the name of the bus company that does the night trip from Bkk to...I guess it's Mukdahan? There was a recommendation a while back which I followed (a year ago) and the trip was quite pleasant.
bamboozled
I think it must be this one: Most decent VIP bus runs to Bangkok go from Mukadan 19:30 & 20:00 at earliest - Roi Et Tour (622Bt)
ldiablo72
I just came back today after receiving my first Non O and I highly recommend staying at the Savan Vegas hotel and casino. Free shuttle service to the consulate and then to the Thai border. And you can gamble. Very good foreign food in their restaurant and very reasonably priced.Nakonchaiair runs a bus service from Bangkok to Mukdahan for 538b. Very comfortable ride, free lunch spacious seating.Overnight is required. Consulate opens at 9am until 11:30am for visa applications and you pick up the next day after 2pm.
