webfact
New round of registration of low income earners to be moved forward BANGKOK: -- The Ministry of Finance plans to move the registration date of low income earners three months ahead of schedule after it is successful and benefits the poor. This was disclosed yesterday by the ministry’s permanent secretary Somchai Sujjapongse. He said the ministry had earlier scheduled the registration of low income earners for next year between July and August. But as the registration information is very important to the state for use in resolving non formal refinancing, the process will be escalated and moved forward to March or three months ahead of schedule, he said. He said the government has set next year as the year to tackle non formal financing, the faster reschedule will benefit the poor.
