My friend has just received her genotype result. Genotype 3a, which I believe is one of the more difficult ones to treat.

 

The doctor at Lanna Hospital referred her to Dr Satawat Thongsawat, whom Sheryl already mentioned earlier in this thread. He proposed two possible combinations:

 

Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir (35,000 baht)

Sofosbuvir/Daclatasvir (18,600 baht)

 

Either of these is to be taken over three months. Apparently the drugs come from India. She has opted for the second one as it is cheaper. The doctor said they are similar.

 

It looks to me as if this is an opportunity not to be missed.

 

I'd appreciate any comments.
