SONGKHLA, 26 December 2016 (NNT) – Passengers coming to the Hat Yai Junction Railway Station is increasing as the New Year holidays are approaching, with more passengers traveling on both the domestic and international southbound train routes.

The 950 Padang Besar - Hat Yai international train services have been fully booked as many Malaysian tourists arrived into Hat Yai to celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays, both with their families and tour groups.

Trains to and from Bangkok are gradually being booked as passengers continue to make advance reservations on the 2nd class and 1st class services, with higher demands for the Taksinaran Bangkok - Hat Yai - Bangkok services which feature new carriages.

The Night Paradise Hatyai Countdown 2017 celebrations will be held in Hat Yai during December 31st on Sanehanusorn Road in Hat Yai's commercial district.

Entertainment activities will be toned down to express condolences to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, while a prayer service and candle lighting ceremony will be held, as well as the singing of the New Year Greeting song, which was composed by the late King.

The horror. Remembering the number of trips on that train. Why would you 'chose' to take that train?

Maybe it could be that one's chances of survival on the train might be a whole lot higher than on the roads.
