Where are the tanks & F-16s?

The temple monks / followers say the charges are poliically motivated.

 

Anybody got any substantive clear information on this claim? 

Is this replacing the New Year entertainment?

At least they had 24/7 LIVE coverage in Waco, Tx in 1993.
In Thailand they're at least 23 years behind..

With hundreds and thousands of police thus engaged in this farce, there won't be that many left to police the roads over the New year. Blame the wat, and its abbot for the New year mayhem on the roads, when hundreds will sadly die..

Give those blocking warnings. They are preventing the police from doing their work. Fire some tear gas and water canon! See how many will still stay and block the entrance.

Escaping via helicopter would only lead to a chase. That's not in his best interest.

 

Aliens need a work permit and flying him out in a UFO may be seen by the authorities as providing a professional service that Thais can do themselves (with added ya ba!)

 

Clearly his best move is to tunnel out. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't already somewhere under the Arctic in a secret base. All he then needs to do is fill in the tunnel and even more of the masses will be believers after he miraculously teleports himself to continue whatever it is he is continuing.

It is Waco. Thai version. Hopefully the outcome of this "standoff" is resolved with a peaceful surrender of the former abbot and no casualties. This fellow needs to present himself to authorities and stop abusing his power (if he is the person he and his followers claim him to be).
