BANGKOK: -- Eerie goings on are being reported at a Pak Kret short time hotel after a man was found dead in one of the rooms.

A staff member said that he had dozed off and the man who had rented the room earlier came to him to him in a dream beckoning him to go and check the room.

So the staff member went to check but found the door locked and no one answering his calls. When he got a key to open up he found the man naked apart from a towel and very much dead.

The staff member fled in terror before calling police.

Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, police and Poh Teck Tung foundation medics attended the scene in Room 309 that is decorated with gaudy flowers. The unidentified male was in a towel face up on the bed. Next to the body was a finished bottle of water and a glass. In a wallet was 400 baht and a condom, reports Daily News.

A staff member named only as Dodo said that the man had arrived with a woman in a taxi and opened up the room at 7pm on Monday evening. Nothing happened for three hours but at 10pm the woman came rushing out and disappeared into the night.

Dodo thought nothing of it and was sleepy so he had forty winks. In his half sleep he dreamt that the man appeared before him in a towel and pointed his hand towards Room 309. Dodo asked him what was wrong but he didn't reply; he just kept pointing.

Then the apparition slapped him on the leg and he woke up in a start and headed straight for Room 309 where he made the discovery of the body.

Police are examining CCTV to find out who the girl might have been and if she was involved in the death. They are also checking the bottle and glass to see if there is any unusual residue.

The body of the as yet unidentified victim was sent for autopsy.

Thai man dies.

Thai hooker runs away.

Thai employee falls asleep on the job.

Sounds like just another day in lala-land paradise to me.

What makes you think the dead man was Thai?

What makes you think that the woman was Thai?

What makes you think that the staff member was Thai?

Sounds like just another day on Thaivia to me.

I'd quit the yaba Dodo before you're as dead as one.

So the alleged facts.

1. A man named Dodo.

2. Dodo was asleep while on duty.

3. Dodo had a vivid dream.

4. Nudge on his leg from nowhere.

5. Dodo went to a room which was allegedly occupied and unlocked the door, and entered.

6. Dodo discovered a dead body and ran for his life, as you do.

7. Unusual residue awaiting discovery.

8. Cannot make this stuff up.

I think someone did.

Parts of it at least.

Isen't it a sad sad world we live in when one knows for sure that the death of a fellow human being (in certain circumstances)

will be a great source of funmaking  for a lot of people.

This man went to a room with a lady for lovemaking (something a lot of posters on here do or have done) I would guess) and died. He most lightly left a family, loved ones and friends behind.

How sick does one have to be to find this a subject of fun.

RIP......hope you find some loving friends wherever you are.

Ok, you need to try harder at creative storytelling. The old superstition-and-spirits card has been used just too many times, and not the most creative way of justifying the fact that you fell asleep while on duty.

Now seriously dear employee-of-the-year, just what was it that really made you check on Room 309... hmm?

If it was a Farang then it would have been a suicide

If it was a Farang woman then she would have taken the towel

If the staff member was a Farang he would already be deported because no work permit...

Black humour has always been around - relax mate! Its the essence of a lot of British humour for starters. Which planet to you inhabit - a very dry and arid place it must be dear!

Humor depends on stereotypes.  You must hate going to comedy shows, they are full of statements like this.

Farang and Thais aren't the only "nationalities" in Thailand.

That wallpaper supposed to give you the 1001 nights ambience.  They have room with a horse saddle and you and your GF can ride on it , it will give you a feeling of riding on horse back, quite an experience, cowboy boots are optional.

Thailand cater to all taste, young and old.

Dodo is a big New Zealand bird. Was it Dodo the bird that dream he was a hotel staff named Dodo taking a nap when this guest appeared in his dream  pointing to the room?

Or was it the hotel staff that dream he was a Dodo bird dreaming about the guest.

Beautiful dream I must say.

By the way in the parallel universe Dodo the Bird was dreaming he was the hotel staff, that is for sure happening.
