US Embassy (ACS) outreach

Featured Replies

Greetings, I inquired concerning the 2017 outreach schedule as it is not posted yet.  The emailed reply noted: Pattaya March 3, Khon Kaen March 10, and Phuket March 17th.  No location was given, but its still some good news for planning ahead.

Interesting the first ones are going to be in March instead of February like it has been in past years.

Yeah, I need them in Phuket ASAP as well.  I get all their announcements but have heard nothing.  I have noticed that the schedule changes from year to year so can't count on an old calendar.  It is an excellent service, too bad they don't have the presence of mind to keep people informed several months in advance.  I have other business in BKK next week so will stop over on US soil and get what I need.

Pattaya according to their website is February 5, the local expat club has been saying January.

That was for this year not 2017.

Not sure what year the expat club was writing about.

Those planning to take advantage of the US embassy outreach should be advised that cash is no longer accepted for services.

Bank drafts only:

The exchange rates are listed on the right side of this page:

Yes Bank drafts only " No cashiers checks"

You're right about the embassy website having the year 2016. The above news letter has been saying January for several weeks now.

I think I will accept the info in the OP that came from an email  sent by the ACS rather than that newsletter.

They have posted the March dates on their website now. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/consular-outreach/

SCHEDULE

  • PATTAYA: Friday, March 3, 2017
  • KHON KAEN: Friday, March 10, 2017
  • CHIANG RAI: Friday, March 10, 2017
  • PHUKET: Friday, March 17, 2017

Again you are correct ubonjoe, the local expat club has updated their information, thanks once more.
