Military impounds 2,981 vehicles for drunk driving reason

BANGKOK: -- Deputy spokesman of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Col Sirijan Ngathong said throughout the first four days of the weeklong "No Drunk Driving" from December 29 till January 1, a total of 16,092 traffic offenders involving motorcycles were booked.

Sutirak Sriorn, one of two alleged shooters at a pub shooting on New Year’s Day, was apprehended by police Monday morning.

 

BANGKOK— Police on Monday arrested one of two suspects wanted in connection with a Bangkok pub shooting that left one dead and six injured in the first hours of the year.

Deputy Transport Minister inspects transport safety center

Uthai Thani assures locals of sufficient buses for traveling back to Bangkok

 

UTHAI THANI, 2 January 2017 (NNT) - Those who have traveled back to Uthai Thani Province during the New Year holiday are now lining up in front of bus terminals to purchase tickets back to Bangkok for fear that they won't be able to secure a seat.
