I refer to my Topic titeled Bad Experient With The Chaing Mai Immigration dated 24-11-2006

I had at December 4, two plain cloth Immigration Police Officers, visiting my office and warehouse.

I can tell you by way of experience they really ,, investigated,, While one of my empolyees took a day of ( Saterday - Sunday - ,,Monday,, - followed by the day of for the King's Birtday, December 5.)

Finally one of the officers found out there was something wrong with my workpermit, it mentions in Thai, Import-Export and we are not allowed to import, he said. I got away with that, because we never Import.

He also wanted to know the wherabouts of the other major shareholder.......

When they left my place I asked everything OK ..... they left me behind in doubt with another bad feeling.

The next day another Immigration Police Officer in Uniform showed up. A very sympatic person, just came to see the place an told me that I do not have to worry about my Visa. It seemed like he knew about my case and the troubles I went through

It also looks like it has being raining cats and dog of complaints about the CM Immigration and their bribery tricks. Some of my friends mentioned one lady especially.

I was informed that several officers have been ,, promoted,, the last few days.

If so,..... end good, all good. Good experiences need to be posted as well. Foxy :o

I think the irony's thick enough to cut with an irony knife, but to proceed,

They've always treated me fine, especially the last time, for a one year renewal.

What kind of Visa you are talking about Blondie ???

I had a one-year non-immigrant O retirement visa, and it was extended for another 12 months, in Chiang Mai in November. It was done graciously and professionally by several members of the staff there.

Clear, but this topic is about a ,,multiple entry non immigrant B,, Total different story. :o

Speaking of corruption at CM immigration, I had posted on another thread that I was having trouble renewing my work permit on my O visa because of those 3 months of one month extensions before they give 9 full months. When the time came for me to go back to immigration to get another stamp I didn't go - I had my husband go for me and he got to go in and speak to one of the men at the back. He explained my problem, the officer hummed and hawed, then stamped me in for 11 months for the princely sum of 1000 baht. I wasn't there and didn't do it myself. Probably wouldn't be brave enough to, but this little gift is saving me about 2500 baht in extra work permit fees.

So all this story the give about the papers having to go to BKK to be processed is a load of buffalo poo. But a happy ending none the less...
