Can any of you tell me how to get to (or contact) G&M german sausage? They make really good stuff, but on my last trip, I got so goddamned lost that I could hardly find up. It's towards Borsang, but a little north, and apparently nearly invisible. Thanks. walker

Do not know G&M. However Gibus, who make German sausages etc. are on the East side of the highway before you get to Big C. You need to drive in to the back of a petrol station and walk through their gate. (Not the petrol station by the entrance to Big C. The one before that.)

Ha! Ha! thats how he got the name Gypsy - in 2004 he had a the place opposite the Porn Ping as ThaiPauly's 2004 post shows The Grill Station I think it was called. I gather he's now sold the the Rose Guest House and downsized to a place on soi 9, or somewhere near Sompet Market. Wherever he is, he always runs a great business and is a convivial guy. I'm sure someone will have details of his latest venture.

I've been a couple of times but starting from Doi Saket which is easier. You know his sausages are available at Rimping. I don't think they are as good as Sausage King's but no accounting for taste. Hope you'll post your opinion of them if you ever find the place.His Sunday buffet is very popular with the locals. Hope that link works. Sorry ,it doesn't. I'll try and find the one that does .

When the first page comes up there's a search box about 4" down on the left. Type in G+M SAUSAGE and Search.

The now 2008 CLOSED TOPIC appears. Click only on the third (middle) subject heading--G+M GERMAN SAUSAGE CM108

Scroll down this old thead past lots of succulent pictures and eventually a map appears.Its confined to the immediate locality and the lettering is ll in Thai.

A bit more detail : Go to Google Maps and Search Mae Hoi Ngoen Doi Saket , G+M is less than 1km South of here.

If you play aroud with the map till you get to a scale of 2.5cms = 1km. and click on "more" (top right) to enable photos a small pic pops up of G+M

Yes, I like food.

I also like descriptive topics and subtitles.

You like Food? I love it. In fact, I like it so much I eat it practically every day - sometimes as much as 3 times. I know a lot of other people eat food but I sometimes wonder whether I might be addicted to the stuff. Some days, if I haven't had any Food, I feel really weak and depressed and as much as I try not to give in, I find myself just having to get a fix. I've been like this for most of my life. I blame my mother, because almost from the day I was born - she practically weaned me on the stuff. I've sometimes gone a couple of days without Food but that's as long as I can last. I'm quite rightly concerned so I was wondering if anyone out there has a similar problem. Where in Chiang Mai might I get some help? Is there an equivalent of Alcoholics Anonymous and if so where and when do they meet? Any help would be much appreciated as I'm getting desperate .I thank you.

Gypsy has quit the Rose Guest house is now in San Sai running a restaurant called Heidelberg. It is on Chiang Mai-Mae Jo road. Go past Land and Houses on the left hand side and then past the PTT petrol station for about 500 metres and its on the left.

Good old Gypsy. He's had more restaurants than some people have had sign-ins on Thai Visa.

Starting with The German Beer Garden, Formula 1 Bar, Grill Station, Rose Guest house,... a place on Huey Kaew.....You can't keep a good 'un down.
