In the UK you have to remove your card before taking your money. Why is Thailand different?

Same in Australia. It was changed from the Thai style procedure after people removed their money then forgot to remove the card.
Thailand has to catch up, but 'face' will get in the way. Someone will have to lose it, and of course we can't have that can we?

my card has a daily limit to stop someone emptying my account in this way, a common sense security measure. oh, sorry forgot we're in thailand.

I bet your daily limit is more than 15200b.
