webfact
South-bound trains disrupted by heavy flooding in Nakhon Si Thammarat BANGKOK: -- The State Railway of Thailand has announced changes of the train services to southern provinces on Thursday due to heavy flooding in Nakhon Si Thammarat. SRT governor Wutthichart Kalayanamit said on Wednesday that heavy flooding had inundated rail tracks southward of Thung Song railway station, making the route impassable. The farthest that all South-bound trains can go now is Thung Song railway station in Nakhon Si Thammarat, said the governor, adding however that mechanics and workers had been ordered on standby at their bases to start rail repairs once flood water has receded while other officials were told to monitor the flood situation closely.
