trogers
Isn't it a requirement to issue crash helmets to bike renters?
Thaiwrath
but so far no one has been able to provide any information as to why they lost control of their bikes in the first place. It has to be a toss up between rain and brake failure.

Pukehina1
Looking at the photo of the crash site, poor road condition as in broken seal and possible potholes would have contributed to the crash and death by stupidity with no helmet and .......... sebastion
I see them riding terribly everyday. Slow and zig zag their lanes. Really novice riders should not be on phuket roads. It's a death warrant. It's sounds bad but my tip is to speed. Ride faster than the traffic flow and you'll be fine. thurien
I miss the standard excuse wording in "the Gazette": ... manoeuvring on unknown terrain / poor road condition and under totally unexpected weather conditions..." but then...this wording is mostly used for bus and van drivers after one of their horrific crashes Edited January 12, 2017 by thurien

The Chinese as a group are the biggest foreign danger on the road. I had one come to a dead stop in front of me the other day in the middle of a clear road and he was very lucky not to end up as a hood ornament. They have no road sense whatsoever (pottering along and wobbling everywhere) and are so absorbed with selfie sticks they have no idea what lies ahead. I'm surprised more aren't killed.
