Since my apology drew attention to the post to which it referred and caused its removal someone may as well remove my apology as well. I hope that is not considered uncivil of me.

To use สอ ตอ มอ to say "immigration" (like I had learnt from the Internet), does not seem useful. It does not get through to Thai people when I have tried.

I just asked some Thai people. They are guesthouse keepers and know that farlang must go to an office regularly. But their conclusion was that they had no word for it, since Thai people don't have to go there.
