Multi Entry Visa

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm confused about the vusa situation, and as i have a habbit of leaving things till the last minute i'd though i would get some advice now.

I have a multi-entry visa valid for 90 days. If i want to stay here longer can i do a visa run to extend it, or will i have to leave the country.

If i can extend it will it be for another 90 days or 30.

Does this new rule of staying in Thailand for 6 months apply as i was here in Jun-Sept, returned to the UK for a month and have been back here for just over 1 months.

Many thanks.

What exactly do you have for a visa? Multi entry non immigrant visas are valid for one year, not 90 days. Do you perhaps mean valid for 90 day permitted to stay periods? With this type of visa you can use it and receive a new 90 day stay on each entry before it expires.

A visa run always involves leaving the country.

The new rule is 90 day say on entry without visa (30 day stamp). It does not apply to visa entry/stay.

So a wild guess would say you have a multi entry non immigrant O visa valid until March 2007? If so you can leave and return the day before it expires and still receive a 90 days permitted to stay stamp.

But please take a look at your passport and advise exactly what visa you have and when you entered Thailand. Only then can we be sure.
