Police in Pattaya have arrested four South Korean men who were allegedly running gambling websites.

Following a tip off, police raided what is described as a “luxury property” in the Nong Prue area of the city in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Following the raid, police arrested Choi Song Min, 35, Han Kyoreh, 26,  Jeong Kyuji, 35, and Bae Jonghwan, 26.

Police also seized a large amount of computer and electronic equipment including four computers, eight monitors, six hard drives and numerous ledgers detailing bets. Ten password generators were also found.

Daily News reports the men have confessed to their involvement. They reportedly told police they were each paid 60,000 baht per month to run the operation, which mainly catered for gamblers in South Korea. The men said they were hired by an unknown individual who they had never met.

The men are currently being held at Banglamung police station.

Do these people not use VPN's?

Isn't this the fourth group of foreign gambling operations arrested in Pattaya in the last year, not counting the Bridge Players?

Maybe authorities need to hurry up with those new Pattaya casinos. ;)

The big question is why they choose to put their operation in a country that has laws against it, when they mainly cater to another country. Not very smart guys. There are many countries that allow these operations, and also are cheap for living in. Just not very smart. Really dumb!

Cheap for living does not equate to fun. That's why it has to be Pattaya...

I can't believe I missed that ..... ? With all the recent busts I was wondering if they weren't as secure as I thought.

It is time that Immigration took a closer look at Koreans......just far too many of them doing golf coaching and golf tours around Thailand...can't be genuine in my opinion.Too many youngsters so probably overstay.

So their boss is someone they never met?  I'm willing to bet (if I was allowed to) the boss is Thai.

VPN only good if you want to bet with that well know Irishman Paddy Power ...
