Greenside
This compilation of arresting images is our ninth exhibition and the subjects range from intimate portraits and abstract compositions to startling architecture and stunning landscapes. Previous events have met with much critical acclaim and this year’s show features more black and white photographs and an even greater selection of unusual and sometimes challenging subjects. MAYA has once again kindly given us a great location on the 3rd Floor next to the glass elevators and the show opens daily from Saturday, 28th January to Sunday, February 12th. Martin Venzky-Stalling, founder of Creative Chiang Mai, will be presiding over the Grand Opening at 4:00pm on Saturday Jan 28th and all CM Forum regulars are very welcome to join us for a glass of wine and meet the CMPG members whose photographs are on display. Greenside
The exhibition is open during Maya's normal hours but our attending CMPG member leaves at 8:00 in the evening so if you want information about any of the photographs or photographers don't leave it until the end of the day. The "Grand Opening" on Saturday is fun - we usually get a good attendance and most of the photographers are there to talk to.

Greenside
Many thanks to everyone who came to the Grand Opening yesterday. It was really packed, and by the comments we received from regular and first time visitors it looks to be another successful show. Citylife has some pictures of the opening on their site so if you didn't make it you can see what you missed... Here's another of the posters as a reminder! NancyL
I was at the opening -- I always love the chance to talk with the photographers and get the "back story" to their photos. That cat WAS NOT photoshopped and he lives very close to Maya Mall. It's so nice to leave our narrow little world and see it through the eyes of others in this exhibit. And by narrow little world, I mean the "narrow little world" of our minds. It was so interesting to talk with the photographers about how they see art all around them, like two birds on an overhead wire with a great sky behind them while they're stuck in traffic but the rest of us are just fuming about being delayed. It's really worth making the effort to get out from behind that monitor :-) Edited February 5, 2017 by Greenside Increasing age...
chubbychops
Come and see the world as seen through the eyes of gifted photographic artists, images that will cause you to hold your breath and to ponder. Only 7 days left, the exhibition ends Feb. 12th…mark it on your calendars…3rd floor Maya Shopping Mall. Professionally printed, displayed and a great way to spend an afternoon. There is a photographer member manning the exhibition and will be willing to answer all queries. If you have a passion for photography you will love this exhibition and if you don’t you will quickly fall in love with this art form…..moments forever frozen in time.
