NHC to pursue traditional medicine

 

 

NONTHABURI, 23 January 2017 (NNT) - The National Health Commission (NHC) has agreed on the third national strategy for the development of traditional medicines. 

Deputy PM Admiral Narong Pipatanasai disclosed that the Ministry of Public Health would propose the strategy at the next cabinet meeting. The third national strategy on traditional medicine development will run from 2017 to 2021 

Agencies involved in traditional and alternative medicine are to collaborate with others such as the Thailand Research Fund, and the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research to work out plans to promote studies, developments and the adoption of traditional healthcare.

That'll save them some baht in the government hospitals, herbs for the plebs, too many of them anyway, save real medicine for the 'good' people...
