Getting rid of the uniform is a start - hopefully it's a step towards stopping the activity - (per capita) Thailand is the worlds biggest scouting nation, but It's not scouts as we know scouting - bob a job, collecting badges, etc. it's paramilitary, they spend a lot of time practicingmarch up and down. In the west there is a leisure / educational / community aspect, where in Thailand it's a method of propagating a culture of discipline, loyalty and obedience, "Scout leaders are often school teachers, and they carry a very authoritative role, sometimes more so than in regular classrooms". I lost count over the number of missed English classes due to kids parading up and down with a forked stick. -

I don't keep large sums in the bank earning a pittance that's for sure. You'd have to be pretty dumb to do that. In the unlikely event you ever lucked yourself into a large sum I'd bet that's exactly where we'd find it though. 😃 If it was, eventually, yes. But not overnight if cash still exists. If someone froze my bank accounts right now I could survive several months quite easily. Well it would have to be someone else since you'd have no chance. 😆 -

Bank trouble after buying crypto - need real help
Hey everyone, I’ve run into an issue with a Thai bank and could use some advice. I’ve been buying crypto on an exchange (nothing shady, just regular P2P stuff), but now my bank account is under review - restrictions, weird checks, that kind of thing. I haven’t done anything illegal, but it’s turning into a headache. X 3 Ridiculously expensive if you are on minimum wage with a couple of kids. School should not be a financial burden on parents
