Extension of stay

Featured Replies

I got two questions regarding extensions.

Does anyone know if you can do an extension based upon Retirement 6 weeks before the old one expires at Jomtien Immigration.

If you have an extension of stay based upon Studies (Non Immigrant ED) and change school during the year do you need to cancel the old one and get a new one for the new school.

Thankful for help.

I have seen mixed reports for Jomtien. Some saying 45 days is allowed and others 30 days.

Unless attending a university or some other type of formal school you would only be on 90 day extensions not one year. I suspect if you changed school you would have to go out for a new non-ed visa now. Only immigration can I answer question with any certainty.

Sorry but I have a couple questions that I forgot in my posting.

  • What are the document requirements for extension (Retirement) got the income letter from the embassy and what else?
  • What are the document requirements for extension to (Dependent child now on ED visa ext.) beside birth certificate which don't exist in Sweden but I got the certificate of paternity from the embassy .

Thanks in advance...
